The Drives is an intra-club bonspiel for MCC members. It will be a round-robin format with 4 end games. Depending on the turnout you will probably play against every team – with a larger tournament we may need two flights. Your team gets 2 points for a win and 1 point for a tie (no extra ends). Saturday schedule will include breakfast, two draws, then a delicious southwest style lunch (yes, with Margaritas), and then 3 more draws. Sunday’s schedule will be as needed to complete the round robin. Prizes to the top 3 teams. Cost is only $25 each.
Sign up as a team (44 point limit), or, just pretend you are doing an extended pick-up curling weekend and sign up as an individual. If you sign up, we will get you on a team. We may even do a pick-up draw Saturday morning just for fun.
The Drives is a great opportunity to play with members you haven’t had a chance to play with our against. Low commitment, low cost, no need to stack brooms because you’ll be taking a break every 4 ends. With the unique format, there are multiple paths to victory and glory.
