(Aug 4th Update): We have two updates for the Madtown Doubledown, one regarding Club side registration next week and one regarding MDD Merch!
- Club Side Registration opens Wednesday, August 13 at 12:00 PM CT
- Limit 1 entry per team
- Registration is not first-come, first-served
- All teams registering between 12:00 PM and 11:59:59 PM CT on August 13 will have equal opportunity to participate
- If more than 28 teams register in this window, selection will be by lottery
- Teams chosen for this year will be notified by one week of registration opening (Aug 20)
- If your team is not selected, you will be notified on the same date and placed on our waiting list
- Teams registering after 11:59:59 PM CT on August 13 will be accepted if capacity allows
- If any teams drop out, the next team will be selected using the same process above. Local teams (e.g., Madison) may be prioritized as the event approaches
- The committee reserves the right for final discretion on team selection.
- New MDD Merch Store Now Open!
- We’re excited to announce the launch of the official MDD merchandise store! We’re starting with a small collection of MDD-branded gear—but we may expand the selection in the future based on interest and/or feedback.

(Original post): We’re excited to announce the 2025 Madtown Doubledown Spiel, taking place December 4–7, 2025. This year’s timing was shaped in part by the Olympic cycle, along with several other major events on the curling calendar. Same as past Madtown Doubledowns, we’ll host both a world side and a club side.
Club Side Details:
- 28-team event (alongside a 32-team world side)
- $250 USD entry fee
- Tentative Draw Times (Central Time):
- First draw options: Thursday, Dec 4 at 8:30pm or Friday, Dec 5 at 9:45am or 4:00pm
- Earliest second draw: Friday, Dec 5 at 10:15pm
- Finals: Sunday, Dec 7 at 1:00pm
Club side sign-ups open Wednesday, August 13, 2025 (early afternoon). The registration link will be available exclusively on the Madison Curling Club website and our MDD Facebook page.
