Congratulations to the Madison Curling Club teams who won the Wisconsin region state club playdowns and have earned their spot to compete in the 2019 Club National Championships!
The women’s team, skipped by Sydney Schmus, retook the Wisconsin region after previously winning it in 2016 with the same lineup. 2016 turned out to be a good year for the Schmus rink, as they also went on to win the Club National Championship that year. Wish them luck as they return to the national stage once again!

Both winning rinks will be part of 10 men’s and 10 women’s teams competing for the 2019 Club National Championship title later this year.
In addition, the second place MCC women’s club team of Cindy Rhyner, Lori Karst, Mandy Hampton, and Judi Page have also earned a berth to the national championship and will compete alongside team Schmus.
The 2019 Club National Championship will be held March 9-16 at the Dakota Curling Club in Lakeville, MN.
